Scanning has never been faster! The Paragon 1200 FS is the ultra-fast SCSI scanner that blows through documents and images in just seconds! Along with being the fastest high-resolution scanner on the market today, the 1200 FS also features intelligent calibration that automatically calibrates the scan when needed.
The 1200 FS uses a high-speed 1.5 ms/line motor, 2 MB data buffer and image compression to scan a 300 dpi photograph in just a matter of seconds. Compare the speeds needed to scan a 4" x 6" photograph at different resolutions and bring it into the host application.*

The Paragon 1200 FS is a TWAIN compliant scanner. Through TWAIN, the 1200 FS can scan directly into many supported applications, providing flexibility and value. Easy SCSI Installation Windows installation is effortless with the included 32-bit PCI SCSI card. Windows 95/98 automatically recognizes the interface card when installed and sets all required resources. Easy To Use The Direct Scan Program (Windows 95/98 only) automatically launches when you open the scanner cover. Choose the destination for your scanned document from Photo Express SE, TextBridge Pro OCR, Fax, Print or e-mail. Press the scan button and your document will automatically be sent to the proper application. Users who desire more control over scanner settings can bypass the Direct Scan Program and use the 1200 FS TWAIN driver instead. With the easy-to-use interface of Ulead's Photo Express SE, you can quickly turn your scanned images into greeting cards, announcements and invitations. You can incorporate your favorite images into calendars and brochures or you can just stick to the basics and use Photo Express SE's retouching tools to make all of your pictures look their best. With its "Instant Access OCR" feature, ScanSoft TextBridge OCR software allows documents to be scanned for editing directly with your word processing software. TextBridge is powerful and easy to use, capable of recognizing many different fonts at various sizes, quickly and accurately converting scanned documents into editable formats.
The included image editing software allows the Paragon 1200 FS to save in JPEG and GIF file formats commonly used for Internet graphics. The GIF file format allows transparent areas and interlaced downloading.
