Installation Instructions Paragon 1200 III SP Scan Tools Update For Macintosh

NOTE: The Scan Tools update should be installed after the 1200 III SP CD-ROM. For CD installation instructions, click here.

Before running this Scan Tools driver update, it is recommended that you remove the previous version of the driver.

STEP 1: REMOVING THE PREVIOUS DRIVER.

1. Open the hard disk by double-clicking its icon.
2. Locate the folder called Color It! and open it by double-clicking it.
3. Double-click the folder called Color It! Stuff. Once the folder opens, double-click the folder called Plug-ins.
4. Click to highlight the item called "Mustek 1200 III SP" and drag it to the Trash. Click to highlight the item called "1200 III SP Sync" and drag it to the Trash.
5. Close the Color-It!, Color It! Stuff and the Plug-ins folders.
6. On the hard disk, locate the System Folder. Double-click to open it.
7. In the System Folder, locate the folder called Extensions. Double-click to open it.
8. In the Extensions folder, locate the item called "Mustek 1200 III SP ISIS." Click and highlight the "Mustek 1200 III SP ISIS" and drag it to the Trash.
9. Close the System Folder.

STEP 2: INSTALLING THE NEW DRIVER.

1. Insert the 1200 III SP Scan Tools disk into the floppy drive.
2. When the icon for the floppy disk appears, double-click it to display the contents.
3. Double-click the item called "Read Me" to begin the installation.
4. A "Welcome to Scan Tools Disk:" screen will appear. Click "Continue" to move on.
5. An installation window will appear. Make sure the choice shows "Easy Install" and that the Install Location shows the proper hard disk. Click "Install" to continue.
6. A window will appear titled "Select Folder" with an instruction line reading "Select a Plug-ins folder to install drivers." Listed in the window will be one or more folders called Plug-ins.
7. Choose the Plug-ins folder that is part of the Color It! program folder. The lower half of the screen will have a legend showing it in the hard disk in folder Color It! 3.0.6, Color It! Stuff folder, and Plug-ins.
8. When the installation is complete, close the window showing the contents of the floppy drive.
9. Click on the Special menu, located on the desktop menubar.
10. On the Special menu, select Restart to restart your Macintosh. The Scan Tools disk will automatically eject.
11. When the computer restarts, you are ready to start scanning.
