Be@rPaw 1200 Windows 2000 Driver Installation

In order to properly install the Be@rPaw 1200 Windows 2000 driver, the original driver must be removed first. Follow these steps below to remove the old driver and install the new version.

Step One - Disconnect the Scanner

  1. Make sure the scanner is not connected to the computer. Disconnect the scanner's USB plug from the USB socket.

Step Two - Remove the Previous Driver Version

  1. Click on Start, Programs, Be@rPaw 1200 and select Uninstall. Follow the prompts to remove the original driver.

Step Three - Reinstall from the CD-ROM

  1. Insert the Be@rPaw 1200 installation CD into your CD-ROM drive and follow the prompts. If the auto run feature does not start, double-click on the My Computer icon and then right click on the CD-ROM icon. Select Open from the menu and the window will display the CD contents. Double-click on the file "Run.exe" to start the installation.
  2. When the installation comes to "Typical" or "Custom," choose "Custom," click "Next" and unselect the top entry, "Be@rPaw 1200 Twain Driver (30 Mbyte)."
  3. Click on "Next" and follow prompts to finish the installation.

Step Four - Install the Downloaded Windows 2000 Driver

  1. Restart your computer and log in as Administrator.  Make sure that you use a capital 'A' when logging in as Administrator.
  2. After downloading the driver, double-click the file to begin the installation and follow the installation prompts.
  3. When the installation is finished, you will be prompted to restart the computer. Once the computer restarts, connect the Be@rPaw 1200 to the computer's USB port. If you get a "Digital Signature Not Found" dialog box, click on "Yes" to continue with installation.
  4. When the installation is finished, reboot the computer one last time and the Be@rPaw 1200 should work normally.
