"New Research, New Standards...New Written Productcivity Profile" presented by Dr. Denise DeCoste. Dr. DeCoste is an occupational therapist and a special educator with over 25 years of experience in the field of assistive technology (AT). For two decades she led low and high incidence AT Teams in Montgomery County Maryland Public Schools. She was instrumental in building awareness of UDL across the district and in the systematic implementation of UDL in MCPS schools, and was the chair of the Maryland State Department's UDL Task Force. Currently, she is an independent consultant providing training and mentoring on assistive technology and AT team development topics. She has authored numerous publications. In the past 2 years she has authored a journal article on the changing role of AT teams, a chapter for AOTA on assistive technology in schools, and a new edition of the Written Productivity Profile.
